ICE South American Gap Course, 8 weeks, Bariloche, Argentina.
Key facts:
Located in the heart of Argentina's Patagonia, is the gateway to the ski area "Gran Catedral". No other Argentinean ski area can match Bariloche in nightlife, dining, cinemas, theater, or its eight discos and a casino.
At 1030 meters over sea level, Catedral seems to try to join the ground and the sky. A pioneer among South American ski resorts, at present, it is the most complete and it continues updating its facilities in order to offer visitors the most advanced infrastructure. From this season on, the unification of its sectors will offer 600 hectares of skiable surface divided into 53 well-signaled runs of various difficulties, which reach 2.000 meters over sea level.
The course kicks off with an intensive personal performance course
given by BASI Trainers covering all areas of skiing or snowboarding - high-speed,
off-piste, bumps, steep slopes, racing, snowpark and freeride,
mountain safety and off-piste awareness.
This is followed by a Level 1 Instructor Course, four weeks of on-going training of several sessions a week and shadowing of ski instructors in the workplace, and culminates in the Ski/Snowboard Level 2 Instructor course (Formerly know as BASI Grade 3)
At the end of this period, if students
