Neil McNair
BASI Trainer & Snowboard Instructor
Neil is currently leading the field for the coaching and development of snowboard Instructors. He has been an active BASI Snowboard trainer since 2003, held the position of BASI Snowboard Director for 5 years and represented the UK as part of the British Demonstration Snowboard team in South Korea 2007. He has also been selected to represent the UK in the forthcoming Interski congress in Austria 2011. The purpose of the congress is to raise the levels of Snowboard Instruction internationally and to share teaching methods across the globe.
Neil skied from an early age in his native Scotland, but at eleven had transferred his skills to snowboarding – learning to ride at such an early age has been a key factor in his development. Since leaving school, he has lived and breathed snowboarding. Neil thrives off every aspect of the sport, backcountry, piste, park and pipe, continually pushing his riding. Matched with over 12 years worldwide experience, he hopes to inspire. Neil is the founder of McNair snowsports and now lives in Tignes, France with his partner, Saoon, and daughter, Tia. |
