Dan Burton

SBNIZ & BASI Trainer & Snowboard Instructor

Dan is a senior trainer with SBINZ, and a recent BASI Trainer. As such, he is instrumental in the coaching and development of snowboard Instructors. Being a Trainer for 2 associations gives him a great variety of teaching tools and keeps him in touch with new developments, and techniques. Over the past two years he has been working in the 3 valleys, in Courchevel.

Dan skied from age 10, down-under in New Zealand, but as soon as he was exposed to snowboarding, sold his ski gear and never looked back. Despite his experience he is continually developing all aspects of his riding, whether it be backcountry, groomers, park or pipe.

He is totally addicted to riding, having completed 18 Seasons back to back.

Away from the mountain, Dan loves his to listen to Reggae, Hip-Hop, and Punk. He is a one-eyed All Black supporter, and partial to the odd beer.

• French Moniteur National
